Robyn Gilbertson shortlisted for two West End Wilma Awards 2026

We’re delighted to share that Robyn Gilbertson has been shortlisted for two awards at the West End Wilma Awards 2026, following her performance as Constance Blackwood in Ride the Cyclone at Southwark Playhouse Elephant.

Robyn has been shortlisted for:

Rising Star

Best Performer in an Off-West End Show — Ride the Cyclone

And the celebrations don’t stop there, with Ride the Cyclone itself shortlisted for Best Off-West End Show at this year’s awards. Robyn is one of just three finalists in each of her individual categories.

A brilliant year for Robyn and Ride the Cyclone

Robyn returned to the role of Constance Blackwood for Ride the Cyclone’s 2026 run at Southwark Playhouse Elephant, which played from 19 June to 22 August following the success of the musical’s sold-out UK premiere.

Written by Jacob Richmond and Brooke Maxwell, the darkly comic musical follows six members of a high-school chamber choir who find themselves in limbo following a freak roller-coaster accident, each given the opportunity to make their case for a second chance at life.

We’re incredibly proud to see Robyn’s performance recognised in two individual categories, alongside the production itself being named among the three finalists for Best Off-West End Show.

West End Wilma Awards 2026

The West End Wilma Awards are celebrating their 10th year in 2026, in association with Free@Last TV Ltd and The Format Factory.

The awards were launched to recognise areas of UK theatre that can sometimes be overlooked at traditional awards ceremonies, including Rising Stars, understudies, swings and ensemble performers.

This year’s winners will be revealed at an invitation-only ceremony at Freedom in Soho on Friday 30 October 2026.
